Its not cold!!

Somehow i knew this would happen, when everyone worries about how cold its going to be (for you) in Canada, you reach here and find that its absolutely hot. haha. The only difference is that the temperature drops really fast here so i expect all my TONNES of winter clothing to come in handy in a months time.
If the weather is going to be new to me, then the animals around here are also quite interesting. There seems to be squirrels everywhere around here, i dare venture to say that they are safer crossers of roads than i am. I must remember to ask whether the grey one, red one and the black one are of the same species. Like black and non black panthers. Only that if the panther is not black you call it a jaguar, or is it the leopard species?
Anyway, i think there is one squirrel that looks very much like a beaver. Unless of course it really is a beaver. I do stay too near Ontario River for comfort if that animal really is a wood chipper. Beavers are kind of cute except for their webbed feet, pointy front teeth and rubber slapping tail. Other than that, they are a bit big to be cuddily cute.
But of course, before i confirm my eyesight with an optometrist or my findings with some natives, the beaver could well be a capybara.
Thanks for all the well wishes people, pray that i can get a closer look at this beaver thing. haha.

My God is so big.

After leaving Singapore airport at 6am, i travelled 7hrs to Tokyo Narita Airport. There was a 2hr transit before I boarded another 10hr flight to Minneapolis in USA. After a further 2hr wait, involving very strict customs, i took an internal flight of 3hrs to Toronto Canada. Upon reaching, i had to wait a final 2hrs for a 3hr bus ride to eventually reach Kingston, Ontario where i will spend my next 4 mths studying in Queen's University.
So after 29 hours of rushing, i just like to thank God for keeping me safe and for creating such a big and beautiful world for us to experience.
I am using a library computer as my personal internet is not up yet, so i hope to write more when my own internet is settled. Thanks for all your prayers. Till another time. God bless.

The people posting on this blog would like to send our sincerest apologies to our lack of posts in recent weeks. The problem is my internet keeps cutting off when i am using my laptop and Louise has been busy with her new job.
Also, due to recent events on the strike by British Airways, i have decided to change my flight to Northwest Airlines. However, this means i will be leaving for Canada on the 26th of August, this friday. It is also kind of good news for me as i am tired of sending emails and settling administration and am finally delighted to be able to see the fruit of my form-filling labour.
Having explained this on sms to my Singaporean friends and asking them to meet me for dinner sometime next week, i received strange replies.
Mark wrote : "Finally, a good strike"
And Derrick exclaimed :" Haha, first hand experience of European trade union intransigience."
Which finally allows me to conclude that i am not as wierd as i suspected. Or, not as wierd as some of my friends.
I have included a post of ugly stuff toys to illustrate my point. Although in outwardly appearence, some may be more comical than others, its what is inside of all of us that ultimately makes us cuddly.

The picture in his wallet

We were sitting in the bus when it happened:
The metal clasp snaps open
And therein beams the sweetest smile
That ever is,
Exists the only thought can ever think.
Where models stain their lips so red,
Hers is all natural pink.
Black is the all- new black,
No more peeking roots and tinted fringes-
Like a-fraying spaghetti strap,
She wears a pure white t-shirt
that calls no whim, no frantic fancy.
But trusts that beauty is her own
Her eyes speak ‘human’ who would know
Says the guy who loves her so.

Before I could draw a longer gaze
He snapped it shut and so no more.
But on the bus as people came
All I saw each had her face.
