The reason I am disturbed
Quote from Psychology Text : Sekuler and Blake -- 'For an ON-center cell , those photoreceptor signals are registered by bipolar cells which become more electrically positive when their contributing photoreceptors become more electrically negative (as they do when light levels increase).
Why do i get this feeling that God doesnt really want us to understand his creation? The fact is after people do, they tend to think there is no god. Which is sadly ironic to some. To me, this is sadder -- ' we need to clarify the distinction between the terms "brightness" and "lightness". The term "brightness" refers to the amount of light that appears to be arising from a given spatial location. For instance, we may speak of the brightness of light reflected from say, a piece of white paper. "Lightness" is a property of object surfaces illuminated by light; it depends on the amount of light reflected from the surface of an object.'
The irony is -- do we really need this distinction?
