Was reading this on Sky Sports today.
'Bolton have wasted little time in reacting to El Hadji Diouf spitting at Arjan De Zeeuw and have fined him the maximum amount allowed - two weeks' wages. The Senegal star was caught on television confronting De Zeeuw during Portsmouth's 1-0 win at The Reebok on Saturday and he clearly spat at the Dutchman. .......It is the second time Diouf has been caught on camera spitting during his time in England after he spat at Celtic fans during a European tie whilst with Liverpool last year. Cleveland Police are still investigating another alleged spitting incident, where Diouf is accused of spitting on a Middlesbrough fan during a game earlier this month.
You know i always suspected he looked a lot like a fish. Although you could argue that fishes are not that ugly. Is it the archer fish that spits at insects so that they drop in the water? Uncanny resemblance. I guess for all his uselessness on the pitch, he has to be good for something.

The Risk of knowing

Received an email from my dad "your brother was playing Risk last night. he tells me he places a lot of armies in Western Aust to protect his brother there." How sweet. But think i better teach him how to play Risk. Growing up -- you win some you lose some.

Remember that joke in 'Analyze this' where Billy Crystal is De Niro's psychiatrist? What happens when a hit man goes soft? Rather interesting show really, although the jokes could have been better. There was one where the 'doctor' asked him to curb his anger by 'hitting a pillow'. So he draws a gun and shoots a pillow. Which brings me to the point that pillows are really irritating things to pack. They take up so much space and are generally embarrassing. Especially if u have a furry cow skin one.
Alright i admit that playing with the dates was not such a good idea after all.

Random Thoughts on James

James 1:22-24 states 'Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. 23 Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like a man who looks at his face in the mirror 24 and after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like.
I personally think this is a complex allegory, after so many years i still dont really get the association right away. What if I am really forgetful or for that matter ugly? But James does a better job with others like 3:3-4 on ships and horses being a metaphor for the ? 3:11-12 has the phrase 'can both fresh water and salt water flow from the same spring? ' Chapter 5 talks about moths eating clothes. With many allusions to nature, James was not a man of abstract theology but a down to earth, simple man of the soil. And if you are like me, you would like the to the point, in your face, style James is written in. It also helps that the book is a total of 4 pages long! So go find out what the metaphors were referring to.

Hot Cakes

This is my favourite for the new Cake album. If you are wondering, yes almost all his songs are this irrelevant -- which is why they are great. The music appeals to me as well. And Jon Chia says my taste is quite ok. But he might just be trying to be polite. Cake is famous for his rendition for 'I will survive' that you always here on radio. But that song was not written by him. You learn something new everyday.

Spur me off

Every year for the past approx 12, i have reevaluated my loyalty to Tottenham Hotspur. Frankly i supported them because they had a nice jersey when i was young but according to my friend Kailoon that was the point they became jinxed. Stayed up till 4am to watch them lose AGAIN to Aston Villa. Which btw is our 6th straight lost. When we score lots of goals we let in more, when we let in few we dont score. In other words we tend to lose. And i am fed up of losing sleep for nothing.
Went to help R. Simpson shift his house after a 1 hour cat nap. His house takes your breath away i tell you. I felt i was shifting exhibits to a musuem. His store room is 5 times the size of my college room. You have to see it to believe it. A bit like Spurs, their performances are quite unbelivable. Warning: Never judge a book by its cover, never choose a team by its jersey.

Miss House

God works in mysterious ways. He let the release of the new Cake album coincide with my boring wait for my parents arrival in Perth. Would be better if he let Louise flight not take off. But you cant really equate mysterious with terroristic. Osama looks a bit mysterious, Saddam looks bad. In many senses of the word.
Is there a difference between fish bowl and fish bowl?
I think fishbowl is aquarium and fish bowl is any bowl shaped like a fish. But mostly interchangable right? Although jason thinks that -- fish bowl is the sport that involves ten pins and a big ball thrown by a fish? He also said 'super fish bowl would be a giant stadium where fish play american football'. And you ppl think i am crazy? And for all u guys back in Singapore its a whopping 37 degrees here. And yes jason, i measured it accurately with a potractor.
