V is not for Vitagen

I think its really strange that people still celebrate V-day. Or more appropriately named Valentines day. I started to think that so many people i know find it a marketing gimmick and a real waste of time. How can it still survive with so many detractors and un-believers?
Then it struck me that maybe my circle of friends are all getting older. Maybe its how the older generation make up excuses that we are wiser and are more prudent with our decisions.
"All the restaurant prices jack up by 200% can eat 5 more meals after V-day better"
"People should be treasured everyday not set aside some special day, so silly"
"Roses normally one bunch only $10 now $99; you think who is the stupid one?"
Well, it does make quite a lot of sense. But thats exactly the problem. Maybe as we grow up we become too sensible and logically motivated. And maybe we are just afraid to mingle with the younger crowd in public places on V-day. Because they remind us of that romanticism we once had but have now lost. That carefree spirit that wants to celebrate and wants to date someone and make him/her feel special.
But then again, as an adult, i just write it off as horny hormones.

I don't think wanting to make someone feel special is attributed to horny hormones =P
