Emucipation -- definition
Have you realised that emanicipation has the word 'man' in it? For the females who dont know that their species has been constantly described as undergoing emanicipation-- the word actually means 'to free from restraint and tradition.'
With tonnes of articles on how women are powerful and beautiful, its kind of pathetic that guys are left out. I guess its either we think females really are powerful and beautiful (insinuating that we are pot-bellied bums), or that they will never make it that far. hahaha. I remember xiaxue's blog being very popular despite its obvious reliance on controversial topics. The truth is, if the thing is controversial, there's bound to be someone that agrees with you, which means controversial is safe. However, writing something without making it obvious that its going to be controversial is instead more dangerous.
Thus, it is with this fool-hardy spirit that i tackle the topic of emu-cipation. Apparently, there are 2 species of the emu of which one is now extinct. The coinage of this new term is in view of the fact that the male species of the human race is fast dying out and will soon join the other species of the emu. But if it does happen, we male homosapiens can take heart that at least the females left behind are just as ugly as the emus. Alright, i admit, thats downright false, but the concept is not.
Since college days, female teachers have been stressing how uselss their husbands are. If you are a guy and thought 'men are kinder creatures and thats why we do not complain back", then you are indeed useless. In films and sitcoms, men are portrayed as love lorn over some voluptuous woman, and sometimes even not so voluptuous women. Everyone seems to agree we are just plain easy to manipulate. "If you really love me, you will do this..." has become a norm instead of a yardstick of petty women.
When women cry, men have to comfort them, but we definitely have to do it the way they want. But when guys cry, they are labelled sissy and faggoty. Emancipation anyone? Women's kisses are claimed to calm every aching heart, but men's are subject to rating in the women's magazines. When we say women are fat, we are called insensitive, but when we get rotund, we are no longer hunky and desirable. When your woman gets lonely, men better drop their bags and rush to her side. Men are never supposed to need anyone but themselves right? The modern man must look after the babies, wash the dishes after cooking and keep the house spik and span. Personally, emancipation should involve women doing the plumbing and killing all the nasty insects. I think you know what i am getting at.
Thus, if women are really equal in every way, how come i cant go buy a car and charge it to her credit card? How about the girl taking the guy to a nice restaurant and paying for it. And whats this thing about flowers making her day? No girl ever made my day by buying me a soccer magazine. And it sure is cheaper too. I am cheapskate for good reason, because if i spend all my money on the girl now, she will leave me because i cant provide the stable relationship after marriage. The irony is evident. We men have to watch all the romantic movies without sleeping, and our shows are just boring without explanation.
Do not misquote me, i am encouraging education for women and i hate domestic violence and abuse. Only problem is, maybe its the other emu that got abused. Anyway, you girls do not have to take me seriously, i am just a pathetic loserish guy thats blurting out how pathetic and loserish you girls think we are. I wonder why we guys always laugh off other guys' insults; but girls, now thats the real deal, they are the most wonderful things that ever insulted their other halves.
To conclude, i recall vividly on xiaxue's blog again that she was complaining about FHM's reader's choices. According to her, Singaporean men's taste in women is awful compared to our American counterparts judging from the women voted in the top 50 sexiest of the year (or something to that effect). I wonder if that is controversial. Maybe if we like ugly women, we are more likely to choose some with exemplary character traits? Which one is bugging you now? Emucipation or emancipation?

Thats not always the case also la. Just like there are exceptions to the examples i have chosen.
But the fact is, only with emancipation do women feel they need to receive the same amount of credit for doing similar jobs. Before this, they didnt even get to work on the same level as men. But women continue to complain and stress they are equally capable or better. So the things which they are solely entitled to better start being shared as well. Catch my drift?
well, i think there comes a point where we've gotta find out wad god really meant... i listened to a series of wad my senior pastor back in Sg preached.. "Lord of the rings" -- lord of ur marriage lah. and he was describing wad exactly God wanted in the roles of men n women in the Bible. i like how this verse puts simply that Men have to love their wives and the women have to respect/submit their husbands.
Cos women need love and men need respect (or rather, need to be appreciated). God understands our needs perfectly.
And God created us equally, no matter wad secular magazines or wadever review may say... Submission on the women's part has nothing to do with inferiority. and the love that men shower on women in no way means that they are at a disadvantage.

Brother, there's a really good book called "Maximising Manhood" available in all good christian bookstores. It starts by telling "Being a MALE is by birth but being a MAN is by choice". Really good read not only for man, but for their counterpart too.
I couldnt agree more with what you blogged, just that most man are confused and don't know how to differentiate between being a gentleman to being climbed over their head by a woman.
Just to end, I personally dislike the term S.N.A.G. because i've seen girls proudly booasting about their S.N.A.G boyfriends, about how they always get what they want and blah blah blah. The world is going crazy man.
